Rolling Pins with Flour
Owner Dan Messinger

HiThere - I'm Dan and I founded the Kosher Cookie Company because there wasn't enough space in my other bakery to keep up with all the orders we were getting for custom cookies.  I love creating fun cookies to make people's events extra special.  It's truly an honor to be part of your life's sweetest moments by creating cookies for you.  And my kids are very happy that they get to eat the ones that break!

What is Kosher?

“Kosher” is a term used to describe food that complies with the strict dietary standards of traditional Jewish law.  We are supervised by OK Kosher (the circle with a K inside).  Our cookies are Parve, which means that they do not contain any dairy or any meat products.  Our products are also Pas Yisroel, which means that the ovens were lit by an observant Jew.

In addition to our adherence to the technical rules of kashrut, or keeping kosher, we also believe that living a "kosher" life includes the principle of tzedakah, or charity.  Therefore the Kosher Cookie Company donates 10% of profits to charity.  We choose organizations that focus on feeding those in need; because while many of us are privileged to enjoy treats like cookies all the time, there are plenty of people for whom finding their next meal is a challenge.
